Sessions are 45-50 minutes long. The first two sessions are for assessment and treatment planning, after which we will discuss whether cognitive behavioral therapy is indicated and the treatment plan.

I am not a preferred providers or part of any managed care network. I recommend that you contact your insurance company to find out more about how much care they cover. Many insurance companies provide out-of-network coverage, some as high as 75-80% of the cost. Check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have (out-of-network) mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • Is telehealth services covered?

The therapy code (CPT) that is used for ongoing sessions is 90834. You will need to supply this code to your insurance provider when asking the above questions.

Payment is due in full at each session. You may pay by cash, check, credit card, or debit card. In the event that a check is returned for insufficient funds, there will be a $20 charge.

Cancellation and session time: Once you begin treatment I reserve specific time for you each week (in some cases every other week). If you have to miss a session, please notify me 48 hours in advance so as not to be charged. If you are sick and cannot come to a session, then you may use the time that has been scheduled for a phone session (note: phone sessions may not be covered by your insurance provider).
