Affiliations

In addition to my role as a therapist, I am also an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I have been teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students in cognitive and behavioral techniques for 10 years. My research focuses on investigating the consequences of comorbid anxiety and mood disorders and physical health problems, especially inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, asthma, and nonorganic functional pain (e.g., chest, abdominal, and headaches), with specific attention to the development of integrative mind-body cognitive-behavioral treatment approaches.
